HIV/AIDS Research: Its History and Future

This project, supported by a U.S. National Endowment for the Humanities CARE grant, created transcriptions of 59 digital videos chronicling the international scientific effort to address the AIDS pandemic in the 1980s. It includes interpretive materials, with a fully hyper-linked index of topics and themes covered in the talks, to accompany the videos and transcriptions.

Also contains a bibliography of all scientific publications referenced within each individual video as a resource to guide historians trying to understand a given scientist’s mental map of his or her field.  These publications include links to the full text of the papers.
