Dr. Antu Dey is the Executive Director of Product Development and Manufacturing at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative.


Dr. Dey is focused on process and product development of recombinant products that include recombinant protein and nucleic acid vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.

Research Interests

At IAVI, Dr. Dey’s group enabled the development and cGMP manufacturing of the first native-like HIV-1 envelope trimer to be used in human clinical trials. His team continues to support process development and manufacturing of multiple native-like envelope trimer in collaboration with PIs in Europe and US.

As co-PI of NIH/NIAID’s Contract on Process and Analytical Support Development of HIV Vaccines, Dr. Dey led development of multiple analytical assays and purification processes, evaluation of various platforms and formulation development of multiple HIV vaccine candidates.

His team is also involved in manufacturing multiple broadly neutralizing antibodies for evaluation in several early to late stage clinical studies.
